God I hate IDIOTS that high beam!!!!!!!!!
driving across the country with my trunk completely full of luggage, and 2 200+ lb guys in my S2000 I would get comments on the CB(yeah had one sitting on the console, with a magnetic antenna on the trunk, sure makes it nice knowing where the cops are) that the little white convertible sure had bright lights, then I'd tell the person saying that to hold on.. and turn the brights on :-D
o man i thought it was just me... So being that my car is lowered I can't high beam a lifted Ford Expedition back.. that bastard. I was never in front of him for him to think I was high beaming him, why'd he high beam me for? What an idiot...damn near blinded me without his high beams on.
It's funny that you all are talking as if lowering the car makes your lights shine higher. I know the back drops more than the front, but I dropped mine a little over an inch and have actually had far fewer "flashings."
I kinda miss it honestly... kinda made me feel special!
Took my dad(GM retiree after 30 yrs) for a ride one night. Pulling out of his driveway, he tells me to turn off my brights because the house across the street probably doesn't appreciate it. "Oh Dad, those aren't the brights... these are!" (switch to brights) ...and then switch back to lows. "I hate those things!" he states.
This is the same guy who kept asking when I was going to shift. After all, I had hit 3800 rpms!
I guess it sounded a little different than his 10-cylinder Ram.

Oh, and my fix for the person behind me, high-beaming me after passing him, is to turn my side mirrors such that the light is reflected right back at them. They don't seem to like that much.
