Default Going rate on an 04' s2k?

Have a car lined up, it is an 04, with 23k miles. Adult owned/driven. No accidents, one owner. No dings, scratches, etc. on the body, a few minor ones on the lip. Garage kept. New tires a few months back.

Has factory hardtop, headrest speakers, wing, front lip and side strakes. All stock, never modified.

What does a car like this generally go for? I know what he is asking, but I want to see your guys opinion.

It is silverstone metallic on black. East coast car.

I won't post a pic until after I buy it

From NADA:

Clean Trade-In $19,875
Clean Retail Value $22,900

Mileage - 23,000 miles + $1,200

Options
Detachable Hardtop
Trade-In +$825
Retail +$925

TOTAL PRICE
Trade-In $21,900
Retail $25,025

Check your regional pricing!!!

It doesn't sound like a bad price, but certainly not a deal once-in-a-lifetime.

So I should be offering in the 23k range? Even lower?

Wing, lip and strakes have little or no value. The HT could be valued at about $1500 or approx. half of retail.
$24k seems to be an average high value (retail) so I'd place the value at $23k. Add the top and were back to $24.5k.
Bargain down from this price if possible.

I agree...
For a stock '04 with 23K miles - I think a nice range is 22.5-23.5 plus 1500-2000 for the HT - if you can grab it for 23 or 23.5 with the HT it becomes an excellent deal. IMHO.

I wouldn't part with mine with 31K miles - some lite mods, biggest being 4.57's - for $23.5

I agree that if you get it below 24k it's a pretty good deal and below 23k it's a steal, given the low miles and especially the hardtop

I just bought one in Orlando for $18000 with 46K miles, but it needs a new convertible top. Otherwise, Ive seen them around here for $21000 - $23000 when I was looking. For the one you're talking about, I'd say if you can get it for around 22-23K, that'd be a good deal.
