Default golf clubs?

Hello,
I'm sure this is by no means the first time that someone has asked, but can you fit a bag of clubs into the "trunk" of the S2000? I'm looking to by an '04. I can give up back seats, cup holders & all the other trappings of a normal sized car. But I've got to be able to carry my sticks...

Thanks,

Adam

P.S. Is the stock stereo really that bad? I've heard lots of complaints & no praise.

they have a diagram showing how to fit 2 golf bags in the trunk and the stereo system has been upgraded in 04... its not that bad unless you like "systems" in which you'd invest in audio equipment anyway...

Thanks so much for the quick response. Two bags? That's amazing! I always figured that our friends in Japan (the guys LOVE their golf) wouldn't forget about us hacks...

Yes you can fit golf clubs in the back. Two sets is the max and you may have to pull the drivers out and put them in seperately on top of the bags. It's funny because the trunk is just perfectly wide enough for them...you'll see what I mean.

In regards to the stereo, I personally do not think its that bad. Then again I'm one of the few that could care less about dropping my top...I've probably done so five times or less in the year and half I've owned the car. If you drive around with the top up most of the time you won't have a problem with it unless you're traveling at highway speeds. Upwards of 70mph and you quickly realize where all the complaints have come from.

Many, myself included, agree that the soundtrack from VTEC is the greatest music you can hear in the car. Take a test drive, make sure you get on the freeway, and try it out for yourself. Strangely enough this has been the only car I've owned that I haven't put an aftermarket system in. The sound of the engine coupled with how loud the car is by itself was enough to keep me from spending the money on one.

Two carry bags will fit, just crisscross the direction of the bags. One is no problem.

The stock stereo was slightly improved in '02 but it still isn't up to "very good" standards. There are lots of ways to make it better, see the electronics forum for examples. Mine is still stock, barely adequate.

Thanks for the input as well. I currently have an '00 Prelude. So I live in that magical world of VTEC. It's less than a year from being paid for and for all intents & purposes one of the best cars I've ever owned/driven. The only exception, and it's a killer, is FWD. I just can't stand that. So the chance to get behind the wheel of a RWD Honda...well, that's just too cool.

I wouldn't have purchased the car unless it could carry two sets. All week I look forward to loading it up and driving out of town, with the top down, to the club I belong to. Driving it home after a great round is a terrific finish to the day too! Or after a bad round......

Pleased be advised it must be 2 CARRY bags, not cart bags. And not very big carry bags either, I have two Callaway Ion bags and they fit VERY SNUGGLY, but they will fit. Also if you have alot of things in the side pockets of your bag, it makes it tougher to fit.

I also removed my spare, I don't think I could have gotten my bags in if I didn't.

I also agree with everyone else about the radio, with top up its okay if your not real serious about your tunes. But with the top down.....its pretty weak.
