Default Good Laugh

So I thought this was pretty funny, wanted to share. So my car has been at a shop getting some work done after an accident. I am always very particular about my car and snapped a picture of the odometer before leaving it. When I went to look at the progress a few weeks later, I look at the odometer and there is 20 miles on the car since i dropped it off. Now I know it took a very short trip to the alignment shop but thats less then 3 miles round trip. So I ask the mechanic where these miles came from and his explanation was, "well I had the car sitting outside idling for a little bit and even at an idle the odometer still racks up miles." I thought that was the sorriest excuse I have ever heard.

I would never go back there. That is the reason I do not let others work on my car, well for the most part anyways.

Luckily the insurance company has the same pictures so if any damage occurred because of him, i can go after him. He was a friend of mine figured I could trust him.

Not only did he take your car for a drive, but he then LIED about it after the fact. I would never take the car back to him and I would tell him exactly why. If he had come clean and told you why, maybe you could get over the fact that he used your car for whatever reason, but he flat out lied... So wrong.

This thought has been on my mind for some time.

How do yo go about preventing them from driving the car though?

Pull the ecu, kill switch, etc.?

Just Flash it with a 3000 redline and the valets and mechanics have no reason to hoon.
