Good news: The S2000 key can be modified to fit the immbolizer
I got my keys on Friday (asked SiK182 to send them FedEx) and just took them apart. The metal (it's actually plastic) peice in the center with the Honda and S2000 logos on them are actually two pieces, one glued on each side of the key. They pry off very easily. The immoblizer looks too thick to fit under these pieces without some modification to the key, but there's a black plastic layer over the key that can be removed with a Dremel tool. It still may be necessary to drill out the center of the key head to fit the immoblizer, but I'm quite sure this key can be made functional. The only caution is that to fit the new key the immoblizer will have to be positioned about 1/4 inch further back from the key tip than in the stock key. I just hope this doesn't render the immobilizer useless! If it does, it looks like it may be possible to slightly modify the stock key so that the plastic piece from the S2000 key can be attached to it.
I'll post some picture of the disassembled S2000 key tomorrow.
