Default How to remove immobilizer from key for S2000 key?

I'm trying to remove the immobilizer out of my valet key to put it in to my S2000 key. I've Dremeled all the way around the key so you can see the metal on the side of it. I don't know how to get the plastic pieces off. I am scared to dremel in to the middle of it because I don't want to destroy the immobilizer. Any advice on what to do?
Thanks,
-Brandon

Wow! What a pain in the ass! I dremeled one half of the key off. Then finally pryed the plasitc off of both sides. It looks like there is a clear glue that is holding it together that you need to dremel off. Anyways, I got it.
Thanks,
-Brandon

While this reply may be too late for you brandonb, I took a hacksaw blade and used it to cut off the plastic cover on the key head by cutting parallel with the key surface from the bottom up. You have to do this from both sides. When the plastic is removed, the immobilzer is exposed. It's force fit into a hole in the key head and you just use a little thumb pressure to pop it out.

after using the Dremel all the way around the plastic head, i just used a small flat head screwdriver and pried all along the edges.

There should be a groove left behind, after using the Dremel...Insert the flat tip screwdriver in this groove and try twisting the screwdriver. Work your way around the plastic head. Or you can also, while inserting the screwdriver in the groove...give it a light tap (just make sure the tip of the screwdriver is between the platic and metal of the key! It's a little tricky, but not too difficult.
