I was never whining or complaining that I was getting a Bimmer, I was dissapointed that i would be leaving the community that I thought was the greatest among car lovers and enthusiasts. But boy am I dissapointed by the hate being given, i'm not spoiled, I understand how it seems that way. I do agree that I am lucky to be born into a family that is able to buy me a S as a gift. But i have never took it for granted, I am an extremely frugal person that saves a lot of money, insurance is obviously not cheap for a student of my age, and driving a S definitely did not decrease it one bit. I understand how you guys may think im just another spoiled little boy that gets whatever he wants, but that was not even what this thread was about, I just wanted to say bye to the forum and leave with a good impression. However, it seems i will be staying for awhile longer thanks to the awesome people at BMW not willing to work with pricing. So in the bittersweet end, I get to keep my beloved S but i have to be with a community that isn't as kind as i always believed. Thanks for all the people who gave me support and thank you more for the people that only took time to write how much of a spoiled brat i am instead of saying a simple bye.

Just curious, if you're not working, how do you pay for insurance and gas?

Also, you can track the Bimmer, it's a great car. Not as fun or involving as the S2k, but all the Norcal track groups would welcome you with open arms. Then, when you're out in the workforce, you can get an S and track that. BMW CCA is a good group, too.

Make the best with what life throws at you...

It was meant to be. There are some peeps everywhere that will criticize you for whatever as soon as you post. Some are just jealous that you are given a car when they have to work for one. That's why we have the Ignore button. I'm glad you kept the S. It's a great car. The BMW is not bad, either, but just doesn't compare in the fun dept, to me.

Sad to see it go but you had an AP2 and now a nice BMW while in college?! I have no sympathies, lol.

When I was in college I drove a 65 hp, '88 Honda CRX HF that I had bought with my own savings from working at a car body shop in highschool.

^ He says above it's not going, at least not yet. Couldn't work out the deal for the BMW.

Take it easy now

You sound very level headed so don't let your composure go.

Happy that you get to keep your S2000 for longer. Even if it had to go, Im sure you will come back.

and who says you need an S2000 to be on S2KI. Keep stopping by should you get the BMW

Then instead of whining about it, why don't you go thank them for their generosity.

Alot of jealous people on here. I wish I had my parents buy me my car. I can proudly say though to everyone, I bought it myself.

Sad to see anyone sell an S2000, especially a Laguna! Its a fair trade as long as its a white BMW!

Why did they buy the S if they are so against it?
