An LBP S2000 was your first car? Be happy about that.
My first car was a Camry don't misunderstand.

Just curious, if you're not working, how do you pay for insurance and gas?

Also, you can track the Bimmer, it's a great car. Not as fun or involving as the S2k, but all the Norcal track groups would welcome you with open arms. Then, when you're out in the workforce, you can get an S and track that. BMW CCA is a good group, too.

Make the best with what life throws at you...
Paperboys get paid the big bucks now adays

I've got an inkling the car is insured under the parents' name as well which would make it infinitely cheaper to insure.

I know when I got mine and was in college the insurance alone was ~1200/6mos. Of course that's on my own policy...

You're better off. Trust me. Im a BMW tech. You would've had that car in the shop all the time and BMW's CPO warranties are absolutely WORTHLESS.

That is the whole "LOL" of this thread.

Never ever trade in a car. Even if it means you have to take the bus or borrow someone elses car for a while.

When I bought my first real car and only car I've ever financed from a dealer I asked them how much they would trade in my old car for and the number was so low I about told them to go F themselves! I sold the car a week later for 5 times (Yes, 500%) more than they offered me for trade in.

six months of ownership and your giving in... WOW!
Heck, I've been looking for the right car for 6 months. It's your car, who cares what your parents think.

wow they definitely were low balling the shit out of you. East coast you can get ATLEAST 18K especially for LBP.

Dont worry about the BMW. it stands for "broken more then working".

My cousin has a 07 335i 6 speed for the last 5 months and its been in the shop atleast 6 times. First the wastegates took a shit then the turbos then the e-brake was getting stuck and now the CEL comes on and the dealer doesnt know why. They've reflashed the ecu 3 times and it still comes on. I think they're in denial about the fuel pump taking its 3rd shit. YES 3rd. They should have given it some immodium-ad with all the shit that thing puts out lmao.

So, it has unfortunately come yada yada I'm spoiled....
Wow, cry me a river. When I was in college I drove a shitty 1995 ford escort GT with a damaged exhaust no a/c, no heat. The car could be broken into in under 2 minutes and could be outrun by a squirrel.

It seems I can never get away from these threads. I just sold my Porsche and on 6speed you still have the spoiled kids complaining because their parents bought them the wrong color Porsche or bought a c2 instead of a c4s. Same with the Lotus Elise board. Even saw a kid that crashed a GTR that was bought for him. No matter how expensive the car, there is always a parent willing to purchase it for their kid so that they can have something to complain about.
