I don't feel a bit sorry for her. She should have stopped and told someone of the damage. She prolly didn't stop because he had a warrant out.

Someone hit my S in the parking lot here at work leaving a nice crease in my driver's door. We didn't see it and they didn't come in and tell us. The money had to come out of my pocket to fix it.

I have no tolerance for people who cause damage to someone else's property and don't have the balls to admit to it and make it right. Maybe 30 days and a big fine will help her understand this concept, but I doubt it.

Sorry about your car--hope it's an easy repair.

that sucks, but at least you co-workers got the plate number...
i hate hit and runs.. its so low to do that, once when me and a friend were going to the movies i noticed the corner of his right headlight was broken, i asked him about it and he said he misjudged the distance of his car from another one and hit the persons bumper in a parking lot.. and went and parked somewhere else so the people wouldnt know he did it.. i gave him a word or two about hit and runs

That's terrible that you were hit and run. At least the police are planning on doing something about it. My car has been damaged by hit and run twice now (actually this was my old Integra GS-R). The first time was in the parking lot of the Tyson's Corner Hilton Hotel while at a training class. . . no note, just damage to the bumper.

The second was an honest to goodness hit and run! A driver had "bumped" the car in front of him a few blocks from my apt. The "bumped" driver decided to give chase to the offending driver, who then fled at a high speed. He tried to turn up my block, spun out, and hit the car parked (illegally) behind me with such force that it slid forward and hit my car, causing a bit of damage to both bumpers. Her Wrangler's rear quarter panel was destroyed. Luckily, there were multiple witnesses, all of whom stayed around to give the police eyewitness reports (I had heard my alarm go off and ran outside just as the car sped off). Anyway, when I asked the police officers what would happen, they basically told me that unless anyone was killed or seriously injured, they usually don't bother following up with hit and runs!

Anyway, I was courteous enough to leave a note on the car parked behind mine. I included a summary of what had happened, a copy of the police report, and my phone #. Funny part of the story is that the woman who owned the Jeep went to the same college as I (William and Mary in VA, which is not too common in Philly) and was wearing a W&M sweatshirt. Anyway, she was also an attorney at a big law firm in the city and said that she would pursue the issue and get back to me. I didn't even mention that her illegally parked car, caused damage to my car, which probably made her partly liable for the damage. Anyway, she said that she would take care of "everything" and get back to me. I never heard from her again, and she never returned my calls. . . what the hell is wrong with people nowadays? I only take solice in thinking that my car would have been more badly damaged had her Jeep not been there.

Sorry for the long hijack. . . I had my wisdom teeth out today and am really bored/loopy.

i hate that shit!! First time I got my S I parked her near close lots learned my lesson...I was eating lunch in my car and this car pulls next to me...Its a woman and her daughter. I'm like oh shit cause the car is shitty looking. The mom gets out and then the daughter does but shes like 12 or something and she opens the door and it hits the side or something. I get out and about to freak out but no damage at all or dings or nothing whew.....I would have lost it if I even saw a scrath. The lil weak girl must have barely hit but I'm like wtf to the mom. Shes like your fault you parked to close to me! I'm like I parked here 1st bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!....some people...

Now I park far away very far I don't care If i have to walk for a long time. I don't even trust my co workers. Sad but I take no chances knowing people don't know the value of items to people.

The damage was minor, but the driver refused to take responsiblity for her actions. Therefore, she will be forced to face the consequences for her actions.

I have little respect or sympathy for those that refuse to take responsiblity for their actions.

u should have shot her in the head for damaging your S2000

No bring back public hangings
This happed recently at my co. luckily I was driving the wifes Acura MDX.

Check this out. My last car or truck rather had 45 min on it when I offered to let my wife drive it. She goes around the block pulls into the drive way and clips the gate. 6" gouge down the side. I was standing in the street holding my head in anguish.

She doesn't drive my S needless to say. In fact shes afraid to.

I agree. Screw 'em. It's just common courtesy to try to locate the owner who's property you just ed up. When people just assume they'll get away with it and it's OK because no one saw them, they deserve everything they get. It's just not acceptable in modern society to just up and split. I hope they catch them and lock them up. Minor offense or not, it's indicative of their low-class redneck attitude and if they did it to you, they'll just as soon do it to someone else.
Well said, totally agree!
