Default Got flagged down at a stop light

I was at a stop light on Sunday, and a guy pulled up next to me and stuck his head out the window and told me he was thinking about buying a miata.. And would it be worth it to buy a used s2k instead, and if I liked my car.

My response was "depends if 100 more hp, better reliability, power top, and just being more sexxy is worth it to you"

plus $10k more, 500 lbs, higher insurance, not more realiable, more expensive to maintain and higher price after market parts, no race program like spec miata, only 60 more hp than 04' mazda speed miata and about 20lbs more tourque...

but I did make the switch from a 99 miata to an 04 s2k..for me it was about comfort...miata was just to small for long drives and the S was the nearest thing with the extra space I needed.

I drove that Maita so f---g hard I can only hope I get the same reliability with the S.

You forgot the most important part.

When I think miata, I think old guy who really wants a sports car but forgot to invest in his 401K while he was younger.

I am in the same boat. I could do without many of the power conveniences, and I wish it had the same great steering feedback of a Miata, but as I've gotten older I've been more willing to give up some sports car purity for modern comfort. Overall I am happy with my purchase of an '05 S2K. It's slower, it's not as pure, but it's what I was looking for this time around. I'm just afraid that one day I'll be saying the same thing as I move from an S2K to some awful family sedan.

I beat the snot out of my two previous Miatas for 100,000 miles each without a single breakdown from either, and they were putting down 200hp and 240hp to the wheels, respectively. I too hope to see the same reliability out of my S2K.

I think he was looking at a new miata or a used S2k. at least that's how the initial post sounded. so the extra $10k would be incorrect. but whatever.

funny... it costs MORE to insure a miata for me vs the S2k....

also... that 60hp makes more of a difference than the 500lbs obviously... otherwise the S2k wouldn't have owned the miata when it was in B-stock, and thusly got moved to A-stock while the miata remains in B....

haha, 89% of fords suck ass. He was talking about a used S which would
probably be the same price as a rainbow mobile...

oh yeah, the S is a great track car out of the box. sexy F1 starter button too. damn the S is sexy.

stay straight and buy an S,
get a stock miata and take it up the

I think the right thing to say is that with honda its more than just numbers. I've driven my ex-girlfriends 03 miata plenty of times and that car is a joke. Its the 6spd with I/H/E (she bought it like that from the dealership) and I can attest that my 01 4dr honda accord will smoke that car any time of the day. The only thing that the car has going for it is the true wishbone suspension. Most miata owners spend tons on suspension work and 0 into the engine. I know because I've been to their meets.

So you switched from one roaster into another so you can have better comfort for long drives? lol Yes im sure that must've been the reason.
