Default Got hit/dragged by a Tractor Trailer

Some truck driver in a tractor trailer decides to make a left hand turn and drag me into a BBQ joint which I did not want. I was stopped just before and to the right of the arrow in the road you see in the picture, facing East. The tractor trailer was facing West with his left blinker on, he was nearly stopped, almost crawling. I knew he didn't have room to make a left until my light turned green, but he decided to have a go at it anyway. He clipped my top

I didn't even realize that picture of the wheel. That happened when the weight of the trailer came down. I guess I better double check that as well, but it's probably fine.

Believe it or not, I did not say one word to the guy who hit me. I was afraid of what I might say or do before the cops got there. When the cops got there I told them to keep him on his side because I had nothing to say to him. The cops verified his drivers license and insurance and put it on the report, so that should be all I need.

Definitely stick with OEM for the top. The insurance company needs to either replace it with a new one or a used one in the same condition from a car no older than yours. Just go to a reputable shop and get a quote. Don't be afraid to be picky. If your wheels are harmed, tell them you want it replaced if it's not fixable. Just tell the shop everything that happened. They usually have the tools to make sure that your suspension, your wheels, and your frame is as it should be.

Dang that sucks...

Remember it wasn't your fault so don't let them try to put on aftermarket crap on the car.
