Got my car back!
It was Valentines Day yesterday and what a day to get reunited with my baby. I haven't driven this thing in a month and I guess I'm going to have to wait a few more days. It is only natural that it would rain the day I get my car back, but not for 1 day, but 3 more frickin' days!
For those that don't know, my car was in my garage for 2 weeks in January while I was away working and 2.5 weeks at the dealer for getting the motor repaired. The engine began making this clanking noise inside the cylinder walls, it was so bad that the car was undriveable and had to be flatbedded to the dealer. And yesterday I finally got a chance to drive it home. The car was in the shop for engine work, but I still don't know what really happened, they mentioned broken rod bearings. The dealer replaced the shortblock and all other components related to it, I'll scan in the form later on tonight that documented the new parts that went in. Maybe someone on this board can identify the problem from this.
The dealer was pretty cooperative in dealing with my constant inquiries about what happened and various questions about the repair. I must have called everyday for 2 weeks and stopped by at least half a dozen times. This dealer will even fully warranty the comptech s/c if they install it for you.
While it was in there, I had a new Toda Flywheel put in since the tranny had to be pulled. Since it was raining out, I didn't really want test the car under any sudden throttle inputs, but you can definitely feel the revs drop b/w the gears. Downshifting or heal toeing works perfect with this flywheel, it matches the revs everytime! Anyways, I'm just glad the car is home, it still has the new motor break in smell everytime I take it out. This also means I have to break the car in again.

Glad to hear that you got your baby back, and nice meeting you up in Camden on (brrrrrrrrr.......) Saturday.
BTW--What dealer? Hersons, right? I don't think the buffoons at Rosenthal can spell "super charger" let alone "warranty."
