Sometime last year I noticed the top started to fray in the usual spot. I took it into the dealer and had the TSB work done to it. Well, by that point it was probably too late cause even with the frame filed the damage had already begun and eventually it led to a tear. Took it to the local Honda dealer and at first they said that they probably would not pay for it. At that point I brought up how it is a defect from the factory and about all the cases I read on S2ki about it. The manager said they would have to consult the area rep, so I said do what you need to do. The service guy working there is really awesome and made sure that I would get a new top since I was still under warranty and also cause they already tried to prevent the top from ripping by doing the TSB. He said that they may try to just patch it up but he would push them to replace the whole top. So about a week ago he contacted me and asked me if they could have my car for a few days and they would give me a loaner. It took about a week since the place they took it to to do the work got a late start on it, which was ok with me since I had the loaner anyways (2008 accord). The new top looks great, in fact I think it even fits better then the original one I had on there. I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance.
