Default Got my Stewart Warner digital tach/LED shift light

A buddy of mine and I installed it last night. I mounted it on the dash (using double-sided tape) near the A pillar on the driver side. It looks great and works even better. The LED's have 3 different light intensity levels. The brightest lights up your face and the entire cabin, way, way too bright. The middle is pretty good, and the lowest is just right. You can program the shift light for any rpm, I set it for 7900 (AP2), so I can hit the next shift before the 8200rpm rev limiter. It also has a recall function to check for highest rpm hit, I nailed the limiter hard in 1st gear (on purpose) and it recorded 8230rpm.

Anyway, very cool mod and very easy to install, plus it's nice to see EXACTLY what rpm you're at, versus a close guess with the sweeping stock tachometer. Of course, having both is cool.

I will be using it for roadcourse and HPDE (high speed driver education) work as I'm 6'2" and sometimes it's hard to see the upper rpm band because the steering wheel blocks it a little bit when I my seat positioned a certain way. Plus, it's always good to keep my eyes on the road/track and be able to see the shift light in my peripheral vision.

Here is a picture of what I got:

How hard was the installation?

Installation was easy after I found the power, ground, and tach lead wire. To do it again would take all of 30 minutes TOPS.

No pics yet, probably won't have any for a while, need to borrow a good digital camera.

Glad you got it in ok. I love mine, I am too tall to use the stock tach safely when driving at speeds.
