Steve C: I honestly can't understand you....well ever. All you do is bitch at everyone and when there is real proof in your face you still call BS. I think I could get a bat, knock you in the face a couple of times, and you would still say BS "I wouldn't have the balls to hit you." I have friggen numbers right in front of you and yet the bs is still there. I see you posting on the street encounters always saying BS and "lets see dyno numbers," well here they are and yet you arn't satisified.

2 months difference, yes that will account for some HP loss / gain (in this case HP loss due to worse conditions), but I doubt the 20F and 50% humidity can account for 13HP+/- as you are claiming (since a testpipe only gives "1-2hp in reality"). I think you should take the dick you mentioned and shove it up your own ass until reality hits you

cmdr s:

as 24s2k7 mentioned, when you start driving around in a fully electric car with 0 emissions, use solar power for your house, waste your own money to inform people about the environment, stop using aresol, go around slashing every tire of every diesel engine motor powered car / truck, and blow up all the power plants in the world then you can come here and talk about the environment. Until then, you are just BSing with nothing to back it up. If anything that is what a true ricer is (steve C...bsing with nothing to back it up)

gary_phd:

Thats why the T1R has the mounting for the stock heatshield

Wisconsin S2k:

Its even overlooked where they do "enforce" the emissions act. I don't think some people realize how easy it is for Mr. Washington to help steer someones eyes away from the cat
I have to also somewhat agree with Steve C here. your dyno figures can be misleading since they were not done on the same day in the same conditions. even coolant temp and other things will make a difference as to what kind of power you make.

I'll have to agreed with Mr. C on this one. 2+ months between dynos is not indicative of reliably comparable results. A slight change in dyno calibration or keyboard input by the operator and you'll be looking at totally unrelatable numbers.
As the tech at Comptech said to my face once. "I can put in any calibration you like to give you whatever numbers you like. It won't make it realistic but it'll make you feel just great about your car and what you've done to it."
xviper beat me to it

SOUNDS LIKE WE GOT SOME GUYS THAT NEED TO TRADE THEIR S2K'S FOR INSIGHTS. I PASSED EMISSIONS WITH NO CAT...ON MY 04 CIVIC.
I know of a couple of folks with S2000's that have passed Atlanta emissions testing w/o cat. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. I do care about the enviroment. Today the vast majority of cars on the road have catalytic convetors in place.

BACK ON TOPIC!

I am getting the car dyno'ed Monday. I'm doing three passes.

1. Megan (because it's on the car now, and I'm lazy.)

2. Cat

3. T1R ( it WILL make the most powa and I will want to leave it on afterward.)

I'll post up the results sometime monday afternoon.

Post back when you get the dyno sheets, I'm interested to know

We are all gonna die sometime, the earth is one big dump. As the population increases we will all eventually drown in our own fecies.
Here's a quick link explaining the theory.

Human life is destined for extinction one way or another. So I say screw all this concern about pollution. Run the test pipe, drive fast, have fun and live life while your still here. The earth will recover long after we are gone.

I'd suggest more than 3 passes.

At least 2 passes per each variable so that the 2nd dyno run can validate the first run. For example, if Run 1 with the Megan TP is drastically different than Run 2 with the Megan TP, than do a 3rd run. Hopefully the 3rd run will be similar to one of the previous 2 runs with the Megan TP. If it is, then swap out the Megan TP and move on. 1 run for each scenario is not good enough.

wow, i'm ordering one for the S. I didn't think the S would see these types of increases. My bow tie friends only hear more noise when testing out catless ideas. Catless is good when dealing with canines or boost.

Thanks, 'Professor', for that comprehensive and thoughtful analysis of the "what's the use?" theory. I'm sure your grandchildren and their children will want to thank you too someday.

You're right. But, this isn't the Prius International site.
