I know this isn't the focus of the topic but I wanted to chime in.

A single, moderately severe/large volcano eruption over a couple days produces more 'toxic' gases that are released into the atmosphere than all the damage done by humans since their existence by a large margin. You can argue whether that has any relevance on regulating ourselves. Like someone said before, nature is still king of earth as far as this is concerned.

The country of China [as well as India to a lesser extent] is entering their industrial ages with almost no limitations on pollutions that may hinder production. Think it is hard to get things passed here? Try getting changes in the gov. when it is a communist one. China's pollution as a whole unit for a little over one week [this is shrinking by the way] exceeds the United State's pollution over the course of an entire year.

Again, does that have any relevance to regulating ourselves? You decide. But there are definitely better ways to curve pollution than ranting on s2000 owners [or any car owner for that matter] who go catless.

The reason consumer or private car emissions are such a big deal is because we can easily have laws enforced and rallied on us. Industrial machinery with serious $$$ lobbying for them have a great defence and therefore much less stringent guidelines as far as emissions are concerned. Great advances have been made since the 60's and 70's, but our focus probably needs to go overseas for the most worthwhile results now, unfortunately.

Tp's are a cheap install, you can't really mess anything up like most installs, and do add a little power for very cheap. Almost can't go wrong.

and by the way, quit exhaling! 6+ billion people blowing out all that CO2 at once doesn't help out in reducing global warming! Or at least skip a breath every now and then.

I have to reschedule my dyno. I will post it here when it happens or I'll start a new thread if this one has died. It will probably be two weeks or so before I get another chance. Sorry.

questions -

1) how much louder is it without the CAT compared to with the cAT in there?

2) Will a standard hollow cat from another car fit or do i need to get one made up/buy a hi flow cat?

cheers,
1. I'm going to address this in a new thread shortly.

2. A constant diameter pipe is much less restrictive than diverging-converging pipe.

at redline with a cat I was at like 110db. Now without a cat, when I had my car on the dyno, it physically hurt to listen to it so that means 120+dbs

I thought people were blaming the cows for the rising methane levels.
