Just curious, with a NA car, does removal of the cat result in a lot of black smoke when you gun it? Mine did so I put the cat back on, but I'm S/C'd.
not at all.

On the dyno when he went WOT, at vtec+ there was some clear / faint whitish (I guess...it was very hard to see) smoke coming out but I think all s2ks do that anyway.

I remember reading the SC makes it run a little richer which might explain why the smoke?

I think you are correct. My car runs quite rich at WOT under load. I don't mind. Better safe than sorry.

If you go to the berk testpipe groupbuy there is a link on like the 3rd page of a vid clip of stock exhaust with the testpipe. It makes it a little louder and a bit more raspy

As for the smell, people say it smells like rotten eggs....its FAR from that. When I think of rotten egg smell I think of a fart personally. It smells like gasoline more so then anything else, and thats basically what it is. With the stock exhaust I'm not sure how bad it gets but since it is more restricting, I'd venture to say it isn't as bad as aftermarket exhausts. With my invidia, then smell is worse then my friends v8 mustang

O, I also drove in front of 3 cops since I've gotton the pipe and still no problems what so ever (knock on wood)

Any ideas on what you're going to do when you have to go to inspection in New Commy err... I mean New Jersey? I only say that because I'm from NJ and know how the DMV has gotten over the past 10 years. NJ is the turning into the East Coast California.

i have to go in for my inspection here in PA. I'm just going to swap my cat back in since it only takes like 15 mins or so to do it. then come home and slap the TP back in. Good to go for another year.
