taking off the cat rules! hehe. i know mine made a sick difference in the midrange. easily noticeable. later nice #'s dave

Side note, I've seen Spec's car in person and was there for the first dyno on that chart. I had the same result on my 00 s2k with invidia+fipk intake (198whp). Just wanted to say the guy the runs that dyno is top notch... def knew what he was doing.

Not to say those results aren't great, because they are, but they've got to be quite atypical. I wouldn't expect even 10whp from just adding a testpipe.

I'd love to see if more people got these results though.

my cobra picked up 45whp & 50wtq by removing high flow cats, but of course that's with a v8 and a blower

Just curious, with a NA car, does removal of the cat result in a lot of black smoke when you gun it? Mine did so I put the cat back on, but I'm S/C'd.
