Are you sure,it's the only mod you have??
My Megan TP,never felt like 16 WHP.!!!
I have both a T1R and a megan test pipe. The reason you don't feel 16 hp with megan is that it is not there. I would be willing to believe it with T1r though. There is a distinct difference in power between the two. I have megan on the car now because it's quieter than T1R. I'm aboout to switch it back out. BTW I have been planning to get my car dynoed and I want to get back to back runs with each to determine just how much of a difference there is, I am willing to bet it's about 7 or 8 hp.

questions -

1) how much louder is it without the CAT compared to with the cAT in there?

2) Will a standard hollow cat from another car fit or do i need to get one made up/buy a hi flow cat?

cheers,

where in NJ did you go to Dyno, im in toms river
South Amboy, there is a place called Crazy Horse Racing. Its mainly a domestic mustang place but Chris, the owner, is a great guy and knows a lot about all kinds of engines. They have a dynojet over there and thats where I go...I wouldn't trust anyone else even if he is mainly domestic

JAPCAB to answer your questions--

1.how much louder is it without the CAT compared to with the cAT in there?

Since I have the invidia (it is already very loud to begin with) it only got a little bit louder but thats not saying much for me Lets just say when I was at the dyno, before the cat I could listen to my car rev up to 9k without feeling any physical pain in my ears....When I went to get my catless dyno, my ears physically hurt! Its an ear peircing scream!....man I love it hah!

It would all depend on your exhaust really on how loud it would be catless

2. Will a standard hollow cat from another car fit or do i need to get one made up/buy a hi flow cat?

The car already comes with a high flow cat so it would be pointless to buy one. If you going to get a hollowed out cat, just get a test pipe as it would be better in the long run. If your looking for the stock look, T1R is the way to go. I'd just warn you that the stock heatshield that you can mount on the T1R test pipe does rattle a LOT. I had to go back under and line all the edges with an antivibration silicone hi temp grease so it would stop rattling.

http://www.aj-racing.com/ sells the T1R. I had to use the non-foulers to get no CEL and so far, after about 700 miles, still no CEL.

2 months apart and the recent dyno was in WORSE conditions then the first, if anything you could add 1-2HP to the chart to account for the higher temps and higher humidity.

You know what, screw the enviroment and all that BS. If you want to complain about polluting, go bitch at all of the diesel engines / power plants. In the mean time, I'll sit around polluting about 1/30th of what a diesel pollutes and 1/1,000 , if not less, then what a powerplant does.

Im personally leaning towards the T1R, but are there any real advantages over the Berk pipe, or is it purely brandname?

I choose T1R becuase I could mount the stock heatshield and thats the only reason why I choose it.

Berk has a built non foulers basically where as the T1R you have to add them yourself (takes 10minutes and like 3 dollars).

Eh no riceboy. You are comparing dynos on different days 2+ months apart.

Let me clue you in on something -- those results are about as usefull as a dick on your forehead.

Want to see real results? Pull the cat off like a ricer and run the same day. Regardless, you have relegated yourself to the same status as all of the other ricers with their winged out fart piped Civics ruining the environment for zero horsepower. Yay!

Every year the S2000 gets cheaper and every year more fools own it.

What is really dissapointing to me are the totally clueless idiots who believe your bullshit numbers in the first place and are likely to follow your act of idiocy in search of zero horsepower -- with even less torque!! Yay dumbasses!!!
