I aspire to have your profession one day.
How was medical school? I've heard numerous times that the anesthesiology is probably one of the most competitive fields to get into.
Man, it's a good thing he didn't look in the secret compartment. rolleyes.gif
Were you doing a little anesthesia of your own?
OK, Pete - just rub it in that all us "UNDOCUMENTED" professionals like engineers would get totally busted. Maybe if I put a laptop on my seat and a couple of Linux books I'll be OK next time. "Sorry officer, just got back from diagnosing some video server problems, guess I was a bit distracted".
Slightly off topic I'm getting a colonoscopy and I get anesthesia on Friday - Think of me on Friday!!
Doug
P.S. I like the idea of memorizing your DL #

I don't think you have to be a doctor or a member of the armed forces to catch a break.
I was recently pulled over by the Arizona Hwy Patrol on I-10 in western AZ heading back to California. One of the first things he said to me was "Congratulations, you're my 1000th stop of the year." I don't know if that helped me. He said he had me on radar at 90mph in a 75 zone, but when he caught up to me, I know I was only doing 83.
He asked me ALL kinds of questions about what I was doing in Arizona, where I went to college, what my profession was, etc. When I told him I was a Librarian, I think maybe that was what pushed it over the top and convinced him to give me a warning. If you're a nerd with a nerdy job, and you don't fit the profile of a "young troublemaker" who needs to be taught a lesson, then cops are much more willing to give you a warning. I guess it didn't hurt that he said he liked my car, and he also liked the NSX. This officer never ONCE told me I was driving too fast, or that I needed to slow down. I was the one who volunteered it! That was a weird conversation.
Now I've been warned at different times by both CHP, and AZ DPS. I guess I'll probably be ticketed next time.
