Default got pulled over and ticketed today

tonight i was driving in the fast lane of the express lane to the club to meet up with a bunch of friends and while on the Parkway i noticed this SUV coming up behind me. so i sped up to about 70 to pull ahead of the traffic on the right hand lane there were about 8 or 9 cars and trucks on my right and i could slow down to move behind them(and its jersey so people really dont give a about you and let you pull into their lane. so im doin 85 slowly speeding up to the front of the line when the car in back of me who is literally a 1/2 an inch away from my bumper is still riding my ass. so i tapped the breaks and this asshole doesnt back off. tapped them again and he still didnt back off. so finally i did what some people call a "brake check" (you know to check the performance of the other persons brakes) i hit the brakes so hard i thought my brakes were gunna lock up. so i look in my rear view and i see the front end of this assholes car bob back and forth trying to gain control. than out of no where i see his cherries come on and a voice over his radio saying "pull over to the side of the road now!" i pull over and wait like 15 minutes for the doughnut eating pig to get out of his car. and when he aproaches my window he asks the usual questions "license registration..." and all that bullshit. then he asks me if i know what i did wrong. so then i tell him that i was being a responsible driver and telling a known traffic offender to stop following so closely. than he trys to tell me that jamming on my breaks on a major interstate for no reason is against the law. and i replyed with "but it wasnt for no reason i was tapping my breaks because the person (emphasising that it was) was folowing me too close which is also known as tailgating which is a 8 point ticket here in jerz.
and than i argued with f\him for about 15-20 minutes about how i did nothing wrong so he goes back to his squad car and makes me sit in my car for about a good 10 minutes and everytime i put my hands off the wheel he said "Keep your Hands on the steering wheel over his baconesque intercom. So he finally comes back and gives me a ticket for Careless driving for jaming on my breaks.
man this just proves that all cops are dickless lifeless soulless pieces of garbage that deserve a casket 6 feet under!!!!

IMHO what you did was wrong. You are damn lucky it didn't cause an accident. What is worse, tailgaiting or causing a collision? I am being polite.

You ever think of just pulling into the travelling lane to let the nut job pass when you got the chance and not hitting your brakes???

Even though jamming on the brakes hard might have been a bit extreme, the person behind should always leave enough room (taking account his brake performance for the conditions) for a worst case scenario. The fact that the person behind almost lost control attests to the fact that the tailgater was in the wrong.

So If I am driving in front of you and decide to do something stupid like lock up my brakes and you rearend me...then you are 100% at fault? Or I am driving like an idiot, and do something very very stupid and that causes you to react accordingly to my f*d up driving, then you are in the wrong? I think you know the answer to the question. Under normal circumstances, you couldn't possibly crash into someone unless you are following too closely. Obviously you are mistaken...maybe you should check into some driving schools. Your logic is illogical...get a clue! You have typical child-like thinking and as such should be banned from driving on my roads!

What the SUV did was bad, what you did was far worse. No matter what the other drivers are doing you should never give in to road rage. Do you have so little respect for your car, your life, the other peoples lives on the road? If that SUV had rear ended you he would have destroyed your car. I'm honestly surprised that he didn't rear-end you. Think about it. The SUV weighs at least 50% more than you and has inferior brakes. I'm surprised your S is one piece. Would trying to teach someone a lesson be worth your car?

But you know, him rear ending you is not even remotely the worst thing that could have happened. What if he had lost control of his car and crashed into someone else, KILLING THEM! You wouldn't be here bitching about getting a ticket, you would be in jail, charged with vehicular manslaughter and some completely innocent family would be mourning the loss of a loved one. Think about that....

What the SUV did was stupid and dangerous, but what you did was make the situation much worse. I hope that once you sleep on it, you will realize how foolish your actions were and how lucky your were to only getting a ticket. Consider it a lesson learned and for the sake of the innocent drivers on the road please consider never doing it again.
