Sometimes I look at C5s as they cruise down the road....then I look at the S in my garage. I can't wait to put my hands on it in less than 60 days (aka when the snow melts).

Great writeup.

I know how you feel. I got rid of my S when I was still in college. I felt a sudden and deep sadness as I was driving home in my new car. Now that I'm graduated, I've been looking at used S2000s for months trying to look for the right one for me. Luckily, my girl drives an 05 NFR so I can just drive her S for a quick fix until I get another S, haha.

^OH NO. You're ruining my dream! haha Corvettes better not be ruined for me when I buy one. Its been my dream car for a long time. What if I had both a vette AND a s? Then thats stupid I guess.. I'd need at least 3 cars, one of them will have to seat more than two...
I can relate to those feelings. The C5 Corvette was a must own for me over the past 6 or 7 years. I was obsessed with it and Corvettes in general. Then when I got it and had to get rid of the S2000...I just wasn't interested in it.

The Corvette was everything the S2000 wasn't, and ultimately that's what I hated about it.

Truth be told if I never would have driven or owned an S2000 I would have absolutely loved that Corvette. I probably would have never had a need to get into another car. It just worked out the other way around.

I plan on having this car a very long time.

No one here can blame you man. "... I liked the Corvette...But loved the S2000." Couldn't have said it any better myself.

The S is a much easier car to own than any of the Corvettes (C4 and back) ,Don't know about the present models. Engines in Vettes are bullit proof much like I percieve the S2000's to be, but every thing else about them will either bug you or cost you.

My AP1 had more warranty issues than my C5.
