Why park so remote? People drive through parking spaces in the very remote areas.

Contrary to what a stealership might say if he tries to trade it, theres no diminished value when bolt-on panels have minor repairs. The insurance company won't even entertain that discussion if there isn't significant unibody damage.

1. Friend of mine that had a 'Vette told me that a guy he knew with a "Vette was parking in a Kroger parking lot very way out and remote, and someone went by and went to the trouble to key it for him.
2. We with a religious background say things like, "Hell will be hotter for people like this ," others with an attitude more like Christ, forgive, of course.

Never park in a space that is on the end of a parking aisle (other cars will turn in or out near your car).
Never park next to mini vans.
Never park near handicap spaces.
Never park on the street in a place that is too remote.
Never park next to a Prius.
Never park next to a Corolla.
Never park next to anything with bumper stickers.

Try to park in 90 degree corner spaces.
Try to park on the very top floor in a parking garage.
Try to do errands before/after prime time traffic, or do them on weekdays (not weekends).
Try to check on your car frequently when parked.
Try taking public transportation

If only people spent this much effort determining who they'd vote for we might all have a better country.

Seriously you guys need to live a little. This isn't a million dollar car. It's at best about $20K. Drive it. If you're worried about scratches and the like don't drive it.

I'd love to hear how all of you have over thought avoid stone chips.

I agree. The country probably would be much better. Unfortunately, our country is filled with people such as yourself who suffer from common sense deficiency and thus are unable to realize when a post is inundated with sarcastic light humor.

It was a tongue-in-cheek post.

Some jackass decided to run a cart between my car and an audi parked next to me......grrrrr.....not sure how much the damage is going to be

Does this mean that my car is going to have an accident show up in car fax?

it probably will be on carfax if you report it but it shouldn't be a big deal----be sure to take several good photos of the damage and print them out and keep them with the car so you can show a prospective buyer the extent of the damage----carfax won't tell the details--so you having pictures will show it was a parking lot incident rather than an major accident where it was almost totalled.

1. I enjoyed the dry humor post, thanks!
2. Didn't get the Prius or Corolla reference. I know I'm being dull, but someone will enjoy making fun of having to explain it to me: dry humor for dummies

1. I will not apologize for sympathizing with someone who gets "scarred" in a parking lot , nor will I quit whining like a little girl when it happens to me; it always hurts, just hurts less if your car is 10 yrs. old, and isn't your favorite car you've ever had and going to have.
2. "Stone chips?" I put a Ziebart $500 clear bra on it so when I sell it, it will be perfect, and I'll sell it for $500 more. Nearly 4 yrs. later, and I love to find "blemishes" that would be paint chipped away if not for the Ziebart clear bra.
3. And yes, I'm one of the cheapest schoolteachers that you'd know, but this is top of the line for me and the end of the line for fun cars for me, unless of course, my wife dies before me, and I use her funeral money to upgrade the car instead.
4. Sorry, dark, dry humor!

^LOL!

There's a stereotype that associates many Prius & Corolla drivers (esp those who have millions of bumper stickers) as sh*ty drivers.
