Got side swiped
Contrary to what a stealership might say if he tries to trade it, theres no diminished value when bolt-on panels have minor repairs. The insurance company won't even entertain that discussion if there isn't significant unibody damage.
2. We with a religious background say things like, "Hell will be hotter for people like this
," others with an attitude more like Christ, forgive, of course.

Seriously you guys need to live a little. This isn't a million dollar car. It's at best about $20K. Drive it. If you're worried about scratches and the like don't drive it.
I'd love to hear how all of you have over thought avoid stone chips.

It was a tongue-in-cheek post.
What a way to start my holidays.......went to costco to get a few things and parked the car as remote as possible
Came back and noticed that my drivers side door got severely side swiped

Got the car a month ago and was treating it like a baby....almost had a tear in my eyes
Some jackass decided to run a cart between my car and an audi parked next to me......grrrrr.....not sure how much the damage is going to be
Does this mean that my car is going to have an accident show up in car fax?

it probably will be on carfax if you report it but it shouldn't be a big deal----be sure to take several good photos of the damage and print them out and keep them with the car so you can show a prospective buyer the extent of the damage----carfax won't tell the details--so you having pictures will show it was a parking lot incident rather than an major accident where it was almost totalled.

, nor will I quit whining like a little girl when it happens to me; it always hurts, just hurts less if your car is 10 yrs. old, and isn't your favorite car you've ever had and going to have.
2. "Stone chips?" I put a Ziebart $500 clear bra on it so when I sell it, it will be perfect, and I'll sell it for $500 more. Nearly 4 yrs. later, and I love to find "blemishes" that would be paint chipped away if not for the Ziebart clear bra.
3. And yes, I'm one of the cheapest schoolteachers that you'd know, but this is top of the line for me and the end of the line for fun cars for me, unless of course, my wife dies before me, and I use her funeral money to upgrade the car instead.
4. Sorry, dark, dry humor!

^LOL!
There's a stereotype that associates many Prius & Corolla drivers (esp those who have millions of bumper stickers) as sh*ty drivers.
