My acoustic fits inside it's curved case, but I have to place it the other way from the picture above so the body is on the left side. If you pull off the spare tire cover (and possibly the spare tire) I am sure a square case will fit.
I once got a Collings 000-12 and an Olson in the trunk and a Collings D2-H in the front seat. It all fit and it was tight but a short trip. Hey I could get a dozen Strats in the S what are you electric guys whining about?
I'm so bored tonight. Good excuse to take a picture.
The taylor case barely fits; you have to put it in headstock first. Without the case, you can fit more guitars... but this IS NOT ADVISED.
I want to see pics of Timphipps' Collings and Olson. I played a Collings once at a guitar store. It was basically the sweetest sounding guitar I have ever heard. Then it should have been nice for approximately $6,000.
I had to take out the spare tire to fit my hardshell case in. Now, i am running without spare, and have no problem fitting in my strat in square hardshell or ovation also in hardshell. My 7-string ibanez doesn't fit cuz that particular case is longer and wider. I use passenger seat for that one.
