Hm..I really don't understand why letting the car warm up by idling is bad? I also don't understand why you must leave the car in first gear when parked? Whats the point of this? I've always just left it in neutral and pulled the E. Am I harming my car by letting it warm by idle and parking it in neutral?

You think that ones bad. Theres another thread in here somewhere about a guy in Tampa who's car drove itself into a canal and it was totaled.

think about that one.

I have a concept 600 with autostart by clifford, It has a built in feature if you autostart and YOU don't put your key in the ignition after 10 minutes (can be set to different times) then it will shut off. Also another feature it has is it can only autostart if your car has the hand brake all the way up and if it's not in gear.

My Avantguard IV is the same way. You have to arm the car when leaving it by pulling the hand brake up and pressing a sequence of buttons on the remote. This is the only way you can arm it for autostart use. It also shuts itself off after 10 mins if no one has entered the cabin.
