Thanks slalom and Billman I assume thats what the problem was and I guess that the crud removed itself. Ill have to take a look next time I get it out.

Umm? The owners manuel specifically states that the rear axles can be damaged if the parking brake is left on. Someone please back me up here. Though I'm sure you're OK.

Last time my friend drove with his hand brake up, he blew his motor from the strain cause he kept pushing harder cause he thought he needed more power cause his motor was lagging. Hahah, that was funny in a bad way, but that is what happens with carelessness. It is just a wear on your rear brakes though since you discribed it as such. Lucky, but try to let less people drive your car or just keep an eye on things.
