Default The H Badge

Hey all, I was wondering how the H emblems were atatched to the front bumper and trunk... I think it's being held on by an adhesive. Anybody know for sure???

90% sure its just adhesive. Take some fishing line, and "floss" it off. Remaining adhesive should be able to be taken off with some WD-40 and some scrubbing.

Not just adhesive, there's clips too. You have to push the clips out from behind the badge (not that difficult). Read "s badge installation" on Ricks page http://www.ricks2k.com/info/install.php
in that pdf it shows you step by step removal

I think it depends on the year. I believe the 00-01 was just adhesive. The '02+ has clips as well. I THINK. All years have a pair of pegs that fit into holes behind the badge. I removed the front H on my 00' by grabbing an pulling (carefully). Had no issues.

Nope, all years have clips and adhesive. MY00-01 clips are the easiest to remove, but I am sure you remember the holes under them.

Ok, guess I was wrong. I just remember pulling the badge off my '00 with my fingertips when I replaced it. Maybe it was just the difference in the strength of the clips I was remembering. Or the size difference.

And you don't remember the 2 holes left behind (where the clips went in)?

Yeah, I definitely remember the holes. Hence the reason my original post said,

"All years have a pair of pegs that fit into holes behind the badge." Just didn't recall that those were for the clips, that's all.
