I was up in Daytona Beach this weekend for "Spring Nationals" (huge car stereo show at the Daytona beach convention center). Super Street was also having a car show, and they were offering FREE dyno runs.

They pulled my car up on the dyno around 5pm. It was about 80 degrees out with moderate humidity. My car has 3300 miles on it. I've replaced the stock air filter with a "Blitz" style metal mesh filter. They did 3 pulls with my car in 4th gear. The first 2 pulls were done with the air box cover off.

1st: 194.1
2nd: 194.9
3rd: 194.4

I gotta say, I love the sound of the car with the airbox cover off. When the second cam opened up, the croud started screaming and cheering- it gave me chill bumps all over.

Those number are right in line with what we get down here in Puerto Rico for a stock car. We have also tested under similar conditions (weather).

You will probably pick up a couple more horses when the car gets a little more mileage.

S2K-F8, if you're using the same Blitz style metal mesh filter I tried, then you're losing power w/it. I dyno'd my s2k w/numerous filters and the only one that didn't lose power compared to the oem air filter, was the K&N filter. The filters I tried were the oem, blitz style, K&N, S&B and the HKS Super Megaflow. The most interesting one was the HKS, b/c even though I lost 2 hp at peak, I gained around 5 hp in the mid-range. Then again, each car is different so your results might differ from me.

See, this is useful information. This should be archived somewhere so people can refer to it before they make these mods. It is much better than "I changed such and such and it FEELS like I picked up 5HP" type of posts we usually see.
