I thought I'd just comment: The AP2 slave cylinder mod feels different from a slave cylinder from an AP1. I have the AP1 slave and it changes the engagement point of the clutch. It almost feels like it engages close to the floor. Also, the stroke feels lighter. My friend with the AP2 modified slave retains the same feel, just without the annoying delay. The engagement point is a little higher and the stroke feels a little heavier. I prefer the AP1 slave over the AP2 slave. But, for a mod thats free, you cant beat modifying the AP2 slave cylinder

I'm sure it would if you had a differential failure after the mod. You could always put the parts back in the slave cylinder if you needed and blame the failure on the .
I'm sure they'd never even find it. On the other hand, a clutch is a wear item, which is not covered under warranty and the constant slippage the '04-05 slave cylinder causes is just going to wear the clutch out sooner.

First off.......

Congrats on doing the mod to the clutch.... It's my favorite mod to date and as I mentioned before, I almost got rid of my S because of the delay that was making my driving experience a PITA instead of a pleasure.

The wear on the clutch or the diff is nominal in comparison to say on 03 with the 03 slave cylinder. I wouldn't sweat anything in regards to premature clutch or diff failure unless you are just beating the hell out of your car which if that is the case it doesn't matter what year you drive your gonna break something...

As for the warranty issue.....not a problem...

The valve can be put back in no problem.

I've really enjoyed driving my car now......it makes redline shifts all the better..

For those who aren't experiencing any delay..... don't worry about it.. the mod is not for you...
