Had to push it off...
Well, after evaluating my current debt status and the insurance on an S2000 I have decided to postpone my purchase of an S2000 for atleast another year. I was quoted $250/month and there was no way that I was going to pay that much. I'm 29 but I have an 8 month old rear-end accident on my record. I decided to sit out that accident record and wait for the 2 year period to shave off some of my insurance premium.
I went ahead and bought a used 2002 Civic Si hatchback since the insurance was very decent. I think I got a great deal on it since it has only 8500 miles on it and I paid less that $12K for it. I was surprised about how well the car drives. It's definitely worth the money.

You show a ton of wisdom and maturity about the "S". I'm curious as to the rear ender though. Did you rear-end someone, or did someone rear-end you? I was wondering why your insurance rate would be negatively impacted if you were the one rear-ended.
It sounds like you made a wise decision, TaxMan. When you get an S2000 (and I'd wager you'll have many opportunities to do so), you want to own it, not be owned by it. The S2000 is a lot of fun, but so are a lot of other things. There should be more to life than car payments and insurance payments.
