Default Hard acceleration on wet

Hi! When I accelerate hard on wet asphalt, the car starts to spin when I get up in the rpm range (also when I accelerate from low speed, not just from standing still). Quite often (not always), I get wheel hop when the wheels loose their grip. This isn't good from what I know, so then I have to let go off the throttle a tiny little bit. Is there any simple solution to get rid of the wheel hop in these conditions? Again, I'm sorry for my bad english and explanation skills.

Not sure what you are saying.

Are you saying that Wheel Spin = Wheel hop? Because they are not the same.

I find it hard that you would get wheel hop on wet roads.

Wheel hop is when the wheels do not spin and are violently bouncing off the surface and putting strain on the diff and drive train.

Wheel spin is not hurting anything other than your control of the car.

I think you can help yourself out by buying better wet weather tires to limit your wheel spin. If I were having problems with wheel hop, I would replace the rear shocks. They must be worn out. Good luck.

Haha! It's not!

Wow. A lot of "great" and very helpful answers... SIIK2NR, I'm not saying that wheel hop and wheel spin is the same. But when the wheels start to spin because of acceleration on wet asphalt, sometimes they start to bounce as you say. I know that's hard on the diff. That's why I tried to find a solution... So, then I let go of the throttle to make the wheel hop stop, and not put so much strain on the diff. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. I guess I'll just have to be a little nicer on the throttle sometimes...

How much tread is left on the inside of your rear tires?

Just to have one think said, it's not like I push the car through every gear on wet, but sometimes I accelerate through first gear and a part of second gear for example... The tires are quite new. About 7mm on the inside.
