I have a 2004 S2000, I have had it for about 6 weeks. For the first month or so, it seemed fine. But recently, after sitting for a couple of days, when I go to start it it acts like it isn't getting enough gas, and almost dies. It actually sounds like it's going to start, then starts to die, then starts. I've also had it stall 2 or 3 times in first right after I have started the car.

Any idea what would be causing this? Something simple like a fuel or air filter???

My 05' has just done the same thing. My S2000 is my daily driver but I do have a backup that needs to be run occasionally.

The s2k sat for four days and when I started it, it actually sounded like it was running on only two cylinders. It blubbered for a couple of seconds and then started to run right? Seems weird that it wouldn't turn on the CEL?

I have an Amuse R1 exhaust so you can really hear it if misses.

Just wanted to do a search to see if I could find anyone with the same symptoms.

 

yup, my 05 also does the same thing some times. haven't stalled or anything, it always starts up. jus that it sounds like it's gonna die, but it starts up.
