Default Delay in accerlation

Hi guys,

I recently noticed that there was occasional delay in acceleration with my car, and I am getting paranoid about it

In the morning of the first day (Sat) of BC champ, the car ran fine. But during the fun run in the afternoon, I noticed that there was delay in acceleration after comming out of the sweeper and before entering the slalom. It felt like the engine wouldnt' keep reving up for 0.5 sec although my foot was on the throttle, the rpm basically stayed around 4.5k for a very short period of time. It happended twice during the fun run, and both times happended at the same spot. Other than the car did not feel weird in anyway. I had about 35% fuel left, so I don't think it's fuel/G-force problem.

This is a really odd problem to me, and I don't know where to start looking at. Can anyone point me into the right direction? any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot

It happens more often in AP1 but can happen in AP2's as well.
It happens on hard left hand turns right?
My car does the same thing and apparently its the fuel sitting on one side of the gas tank when you're cornering to the left.
You can try to switch out the fuel filter or the fuel pump and see if that helps.

If you run with a fulltank it shouldn't do it. Well, its harder for it to cut out.

Fuel starve can happen to any model, it really depends on how hard your cornering. I was running half a tank and i still get that problem (though that could be cause im running on r-comps). I run 3/4th a tank now.

Another possibility is your engine isn't warmed up... i had this problem on Saturday on my first run. The car wouldn't rev past 5-6k rpm. I found out from nigel that its something the engine is programed to do when the engine isn't up to temp so you don't damage it.

Is that why you suddenly disappeared on sunday? @@!~

@R.O.C: the car is completely stock other than a sway bar.
@Kenny: Yah I think it was right after i made a left turn.
@Leslie: haha no...I didn't show up on Sunday because my stomach didn't feel well. Didn't want to force it and leave any crap marks on my seat during the event..haha
@Vinz: Haa..only if they would design a course like that. It was nice seeing you again after 2 years, are you gonna come out for some autocross action anytime soon??

I guess I will have to remember to keep more fuel in the tank from now on... Thanks for everyone's input, I am a lot more at ease now
