How difficult is it to remove and install the hard top? Is it a one man maneuver? Or does it take 2 people to install? Also, how long does it take to install/remove the hard top?

With increasing gas prices looming in the future, it looks like I'll be driving the S daily. Jan through March are wet, cold and nasty here....I could use a hard top for those months.
The OEM hardtop is light (about 44 lbs), but it is bulky. One person could probably do it, but I wouldn't try. It's like moving a matress and just as easy to drop. It takes about a minute with two people, although you will need a safe place to put the top while it's off. I build a rack in my garage so it fist right over my car. I know what you're thinking, but the house would need to collapse before it could fall on the car and I take the top off and on in the driveway.

I personally would not do it with one person. When I first got mine I was hoping I could do it myself, but it is too ackward.

It only takes a couple minutes with 2 people.

A couple of hours if you're handy with simple tools. It is pretty easy, but requires the install kit that comes with a new OEM hardtop (check with the hardtop guy). Earlier models that have the plastic rear window need a second wiring kit with the defroster stuff.

I've timed myself the last few times putting in on/off. Either way less than 30 seconds, with a helping hand
