If you aren't mechanically inclined, definitely have a mechanic install the top for you. Initial installation is a bit involved so you don't want to do that incorrectly. However, once the installation is done, removing or installing the hardtop is very easy to do with 2 people. It takes about 5 minutes to remove or install the top.

You are definitely better off letting someone else do it if you want the installation covered by the dealer and such. But I have to say, I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to cars and I installed the hardtop myself on a Saturday night and found it to be very very easy.

I bought my hardtop a couple of years back during that awesome sale @ H&A.

it's four latches (two in the normal area up front and two in the rear).

then unplug the rear defroster...

lift (two people preferred) and carry away. It's light and easy. I did it at the dealership w/in three mins...and that's with figuring out how to do it.

DO NOT pay someone else to do the initial install for you!!! If you can manage to turn a screw-driver, you can do it by yourself in two hours or less. There is a complete step by step manual available from handa and from Jeff at Ganley. I've done the install twice myself and it really isn't difficult at all.

installation is hard but getting it aligned correctly to seal with no wind noise is the trick to a good install.
