They all come with soft tops. The hard top can be purchased through honda, or many aftermarket companies.

^^ yup.

i'd say you should just get one and drive it for a month or two before making this decision.

you might like driving top down so much you decide to save the $1500-$2000 on a hardtop (like i did).

I like the best of both worlds if you can find a good buy with both you'd be in front from the start..

i don't see the big deal w/ a HT...i hate the s2000 w/ the top up, it's so stuffy and hard to see anything out of it. once the top comes down though you see the whole sky and everything is amazing...so i don't know how people drive around w/ the HT on 24/7.

only reason i'd get a ht is if i plan on driving it in winter since i won't put the top down anyway but in the warmer months it's never gona be on. the softtop isn't too bad either, just get it and if you really want a ht buy one later on.

If you can't drive it with the top down, you shouldn't be driving it at all.

If you live in an area where it's 105 and 80% humidity at 5:30pm on your 20 mile drive home, a top (any) and AC is almost a must. I tried driving in that heat with the top down, and even having the AC on full in convertible mode, I was drenched with sweat when I got home.

When it gets below 90 here (Texas) the top does go down more often than not. If its 90-100 I might drop the top on a short trip.

I guess the real problem is I don't want to stink and be drenched in sweat when I get home, or to work or where ever I am going. This is my sole reason for leaving the top up the last 3 weeks. It's been 100+ here, and I have to wear business professional attire to work. I tried the "wear shorts and t-shirt" on the way in and back home, but I was still drenched and sweaty by the time I go to where I was going.

I am thinking of a hardtop for the weeks its too hot or cold to have the top down, I just cannot justify spending ~$2k on a top for those 6 weeks out of the year. I may buy one anyway just to have the option of doing convertible or coupe. To have something different.

Its 11:24pm, and it still 88 and 60A% humidity outside. The "feels like" temp is 96. At least that is what weather.com says right now. I would probably drop the top if I had someplace to go right now, its cool outside.
