Just curious - how much did the OEM hard top originally sell for from Honda? I see them selling for around $3k now.

And they saw that the S2000 was too powerful so they made a less power car called the FRS...

I never really liked convertibles, I always loved the S2000 but never cared for the convertible aspect of it. I always intended to put a hardtop on it. For the 1-2 times I may like driving top down in a driving season the hardtop still makes it possible. I never really liked the look of the S2000 with the softop in the up position either, I think the hardtop looks much cleaner than the softop.

I notice I get more looks from other drivers when I have the top down. I also get more people revving their engines at me as well.

i bought the HT mainly for security purposes since my car stays out side...i also think it look better that the soft top when its up...nothing beats how the car looks top down IMO...this car looks amazing top down. hardtop comes in second and last would be soft top up

I don't know how others do it. Even though I only started driving convertibles as DD fifteen years ago, the feeling now reminds me of how motorcyclists refer to cars as "cages".

No matter what the topic preferences vary. You don't have to get a hard top if you don't want one.

I used to never remove my hardtop. i went almost 2 years without removing it. Then i built a stand from pvc and removed it and now I have it off more than on. Overall the last year or two i'm 50/50 with the hardtop but would NEVER sell my oem hardtop
