Default Hardtop Owners

Thought I would share this information for anyone looking for a quality, inexpensive stand for their hardtop. I could not justify the ridiculous cost Honda wants for their stand and did not feel compelled to build the PVC do-it-yourselfer. I bought this from Performance Products and it is marketed for the 996/986 hardtops. Apparently, they sell far more to Thunderbird, Miata owners (and at least one S2000 owner) than they do Porsche owners due to the "universal" nature of the stand. The best thing is the price of $169.95 U.S. which includes a hardtop cover. It has lockable wheels, folds flat for storage when not in use and is height adjutable !!

How Honda thinks they can get away with charging a gazillion bucks for theirs is beyond me. It's not that special.

Good info for sure. I would like a hardtop someday, and would imagine I'll need someplace to keep it.

I hope not. The OP is not affiliated with that company. It is only a testamonial and an FYI. If he was involved with that company in any way (as in a friend of the owner or an employee), then I can see it. I also highly doubt he has any personal gain from mentioning that company's name.

I agree, this is a product review and there is no need to lock it. Very informative and a great find.

If LUV2REV would start promoting this product 10 times a day to everyone he can think of then it should be locked... but lets not get into that here or "they" will delete our posts and shut us up.

OK, I won't lock this down (yet). I'm keeping an eye on it.
