Gas ain't cheap

Love the look of S2k with hardtop.
I've been interested in a Hardtop since i bought my S2000 but i want to keep the Soft top.
I live in CALI and we have short winters.

Right now Hardtopguy sells for $2850, but the estimated shipping is $400! I think I will contact him and verify the shipping cost to me.

I thought of another question -- how big is the box that it ships in? If I end up picking one up at a local dealer, it would be a plus if I could fit it in my 4x8 utility trailer.
Not sure where in Virginia you are located, but HTg has come to Northern Virginia on several ocassions for Mod-Days or even gear-installs at Quantico. He has brought his minivan and trailer and I think delivers items "sans" shipping. Problem I see is ... I don't see a Mod-Day or Gear-install on the Mid-A calander so I'm not sure when he will be in the area next ...... On the other, if you check out the Vintage forum, there is the annual Tom Cat run (late Sept) which is "near" (and I'm not sure how far near is) HTG ..... basically you could pick it up .. and maybe get help with the install ......

My $.02

It would be about $175 in gas to drive my RDX up to Ohio to pick it up and drive back, so $300 shipping isn't so bad if I don't have to leave home. On the other hand, a 2.5 hr drive up to NoVa for a meetup/pickup would be pretty nice. I guess I will shop around a little; I have a few months before I really will want to install it. I also saw that Jeff mentioned another possible group buy in the fall.
