I was wondering if you can see softtop when the hardtop is installed. i was wondering because i am buying a used one with a hardtop, but all i see is some type of block off tray where the softtop should be. Also, is there any way i can see if there still is a softtop without taking the hardtop off. the dealership has no idea. i hope this all made sense, thanks in advance.

 

You should see it folded up. If all your seeing is a tray the soft top was removed.

With two people, four latches, you can have it "topless" in a matter of seconds.

 

Yeah, just remove the hardtop. Doesn't rain much in CA so I wouldn't worry. Just be on the look out for thiefs and lock your glove compartment! That's how I do.

 

kikicha are you talking about the 05 gpw at the mitsu dealer on harbor blvd. i saw that car and it does not have a soft top. that car was so beat. there was a crack in the plastic tray where the soft top would be. the interior is diry. i bet that car was tracked and ran very hard. i would not buy that one, hold out for a better car. i took the car on a test drive and the sales man did no speak english then he and the manger were aguing with me about the soft top. the sales man kept pointing to the roof button saying you just press thin and the roof(hardtop) fold down. they have no idea what they are talking about. they final admitered there was not a softtop. they said i could get one for like $1000 so just by the car and get it later. after they final admiter there was no softtop they said if i buy the car they will take off the hard top to show me, but not untill i pay for it. it will cost a lot more than that for a soft top if you have to pay someone to install it. they were so rude at the dealship please do not get ripped off. that car is junk and that dealship is shady. good luck.
