Hey guys,
I was wondering, to those of you with hardtops, does the convertible roof operate while the hardtop is on? Or is there a lockout feature to prevent it from operating and hitting the hardtop? Also, is the interior trim of the hardtop leather or vinyl? Thanks for the help.

 

Vinyl, not really sure about the lockout, but I don't think it would get very far.

 

Hi:
My dog has managed to put the top up slightly when she is in the car and it is idling. Kind of funny. Also very funny when I put the top up when she is in the car. She gets a bit nervous about the ceiling coming down on her.

There is a lockout on the '04 when the HT is on, not sure if that goes for the other MYs as well

 

mine has a little button on the bracket so when the hard top rest on top on it, i disables the soft top to operate. that is how it is on mine. also the inside looks very nice compare to the soft top. definitely worth getting

Interior trim is vinyl.

 

The convertible top is disabled when the hardtop is on.
