I wish we had more info and pictures of the tops. They really hit us out of the blue with the availability date and haven't provided us with any real information to back it up other than the ordering procedure (which is brand new).

Even once the ordering opens up for them we can't order a single one for stock, we have to depend on Honda's "limited" stock and they have never defined just how many limted is. They will notify us on the estimated delivery before finishing the order if it is going to be delayed.

They are going to go off of the time/date stamp on the orders and the first ones in get first crack at the stock of tops. (so we can guess what I'm going to be doing at 09:00:01 on Thursday) To have all the information correct and ready to send at that time the orders would need to be placed the day before at least.

They say that the initial stock will release within 30 days of order confirmation.

Our paper work also says that there WILL be a storage rack and cover available at a later date.

The other points they mention on the paperwork:

-Manufactured at the same factory as the S2000
-Lightweight Aluminum- 44 lbs
-Painted using the same paint and paint process as the S2000
-Available in all 5 colors
-Fully trimmed black interior
-Easily installed and removed with lever operation at 4 points without tools.

To calculate the shipping charge we just need the destination Zip.

-Trevor

as for pictures, i assume it's going to be the same as the japanese market hard-top (or is that a foolish assumption?). or was the japanese hardtop just a prototype?

i've seen pictures of some (non-US market) hardttop so, unless it's a prototype i'd assume it will look like that...

I've seen the hard top in person last month at the San Diego dinner meet and it was quite a sight. It definitely convinced me that I want one.

Instead of the hard top, why not get the liner from MGRacing. It cuts down on noise, insulates, and costs less than $500.

I've had the pleasure of seeing one in the flesh a few weeks ago. It is very nice. You won't be disappointed. Nice insulation on the inside, lots of visability.

I'd be interested in the top! What I'd like to know is what "needs" to be installed to have the top working? From what i assume is that you put the soft top down and place the hard top on and secure it with the roof latches. Is there more to this? If so, please explain!

If you drive your car all year round I think you NEED this option. The blind spot on the driver's side is dangerous!

I agree that we all need to know what work needs to be done to fit the roof.

Also will the blind spot be any better??

Has anyone out there got one fitted?
