I know it may be a long tedious process, but if all else fails, you can type up the instructions (or scan them and use OCR) in french or german, then you can use the babelfish translator by altavista.
I ordered the hardtop too and would also want some english instructions when mine arrives. Good luck. Hey, if you end up translating it, can you post a copy for us all to use? Thanks.

I saw the hardtop installed at the Detroit Auto Show. There is one big problem. With the hardtop on, there is no cover for the softop, so when you look in the back window of the hardtop you see the softop in the down and uncovered position. It looks totally unfinished and would be a dirt magnet. I for one will not go with a hardtop due to this.

Here is my tactic:

When my soft top deteriorates (due to wear and tear), I will buy the hard top. I'm going to remove the soft top assembly alltogether and install the hard top.

For the weekend, off the hardtop goes and on goes the boot cover.
