I stopped by Weseloe Honda in Lake Forest to meet with the svc manager, Krause, today and take a look at their facility. He was too busy to talk. I told him I had print-outs of the TSB and notes from other owners who had the work done (especially Cdelena who noted the new parts installed.) Krause didn't have the time to take a look at these, and said he spoke with Honda zone and they discussed how people without the problem were communicating on the internet in order to get fixes which he implied they weren't entitled to. He said to just bring the car in and we'd call Honda Tech together and see where to go from there.

Did not inspire confidence and I had the feeling that he wasn't sure that I had a real problem with my transmission or whether I was conning Honda.

The shop was clean and inside a building as opposed to outside, open stalls which a lot of SoCal Honda svc depts have.

I dunno. Mingster, what new parts did Santa Monica Honda put in yours? Did you get the flywheel, disk and throw-out bearing?

ED (aka edasaurus), yup my S2K is red and has been at the dealer 8 days now! Lucky I was out of town for most of that time. I expect to get it back today after doing the Tranny, seatbelt recall and rear window replacement.

Well an update. It's Saturday afternoon and the dealer just called..they ran out of rivets. So the tranny is done, but the car is gutted as they wait until next week to get the additional rivets needed to complete the rear window replacement and the seatbelt recall.

Can't wait until I receive the dealer survey they always send after service. This entire process is taking over 10 days just because the idiots don't think ahead and check if they have all the parts before they start the job!

Steve
