Has there ever been a V8 powered S?

The alloy 1UZ-FE (Lexus v8) can be found in this modified Miata frame.

Then again maybe not as I don't see the F20C on there.

But true to form those links don't give dimensions, only facts.
I had decided that foreign V8s probably were smaller and lighter than Merican V8s, but at the expense of initial power ratings and go fast parts, but that is just a perception and may have nothing to do with reality.
If you can ever snag an IRL spec V8 that will fit. They're TINY! Dry sump oiling means you can probably still close the hood. Of course if someone really had the resources to get an IRL V8, I doubt they'd stick it in a S2000....
The valet attendant where we go to breakfast in Newport Beach told us a couple of times that one of the Honda racing drivers comes to the restaurant for dinner, and that he has an S2000 with an IRL V8 in it. I'll try to get a name and more info.
