The restaurant name is "333" and the valet seemed pretty sincere about it. I'll ask him about it next time I go there.
Well, I'm a Honda racing driver. I have a Formula 1 V8 in my S2000. As long as I can convince a valet driver that, then he'll be sincere when he retells it.

The difference is that he says he has seen it, the driver was showing it to him and explaining what it took to do the swap. He said something about lengthening the chassis and that it was built by the race team as a gift.

I'll ask the valet for more details and if it turns out to be true I'll get lots of photos and post them here.

It's a sin to speak of such things. V8's don't belong in the S2000, maybe a Solstice.
they said the same thing about the Rx7 before the LS swap was done.

then they bitch about the balance, but the fact was it added only 40 odd lbs and we all know LS1/2 will last hella longer than rotary with boost.

it's not for everyone/honda purist but it's just more option for the all of us.

i would love to see a v8 in the S

You can afford an LS1 engine, but you can't afford to buy a digital camera and post pics?

not everyone needs a digital camera.

yeah it's funny how there's nothing new under the sun...people have been putting LSX engines in FD RX-7s for years now, but it's still "new" to S owners...the LSX engines are all aluminum so they really don't add much weight at all to the front end....to each his own, I'm sure driving a V8 S is a total gas

if for any reason my engine goes I'll be doing the LS1 swap... I have too many friends that know the LS1 inside and out that would help me with the swap...

This might be the only V8 I would consider placing in the S.
