Default Have been scammed?

Hello again

I'm not sure where to put this, but I'll start here

I paid $2000 for SSR GT3s froma certain user on this forum. He took great pics of the exterior of the rims and so I made my choice and sent him $2000 for rims

Well...I got the rims and the rear 2 rims....

While they look great on the exterior, there are a whole bunch of cracks on the outer edges of the rims on the inner-side

What should i do? I called him...left a message

No response

IM messaged him...No response

How did you pay? If with a credit card, you can dispute through the credit card company.

This is one of the reasons I would never buy from private party without seeing it. With that much money, it is better to pay a little bit more and get a brand new one unless it is local and you can look b4 buying. Good luck to you though I am very doubtfull that you'll get your money back. Sounds like the guy was very deceitful and would not return your money.

Well I got a response saying the following:

"listen the tires can be mounted to the rims, the rims are 3 peice rims they do that most of the time, there not some stock alloy rims that come on stock cars, thats what the shops dont realize, just have them put tthe tires on it will be ok, or just what you can do is cut the tire off yourself and bring it to them, theres just scared of talking the tires off with the machine, what you do is just take a knife or something sharp and cut around the middle on the whole tire making 2 peices the just rip them off, but watch out for the metal in the tires,"

Is this true? Are such small cracks acceptable for 3-piece wheels like the SSR GT3?

Here are some pics:

There are 4-6 around the inner edge
Thanks

Wow..... I would start looking at getting your money back, cancelling payment....or even small claims.

Those wheels are totally unacceptable...

Keep a copy of all his emails too...

First of all, don't do anything with the tires or wheels...keep them as is. Do anything you can to either stop your payment, or get your money back and get the wheels back to him. If you have to, take it to small claims court, but even then, you're not guaranteed your money if he doesn't pay it. If you would go the court route, and you put new tires on and used the wheels, you would be less likeley to get any money back because it would be like you accepting the way they are. The main reason I say don't do anything with them right now though is because I think THEY'RE NOT SAFE! Oh yea, and I would definetly call him out....there is a sticky at the top of the for sale forum where you can let it be known, along with right here of course too!
