We're still waiting to hear from Honda on the logo permission, so production awaits until we get word. In the meantime, ReedZ, who has been driving around with the prototype head rest for a few weeks now, emailed me yesterday with the following comment:

"I have become addicted to the head rest insert. I don't know how anyone could drive without it anymore. I can't wait to get a production model with a little more padding."

Me too!

The more I think about it the more I think its a great idea; sometimes I like to recline and lay my head against the seat back and the the plastic mesh would be vastly improved with the head rest. I'll be buying a pair. Logo or not, makes little difference to me.

You guys must be short. I'm just under 6' and my head hits the top of the head rest. So I guess I'd need a plug-in neck rest like for use in airplanes. Hey might be good to keep you in place for those lateral g's. Make mine black with red stitching.

As soon as it was posted I knew that it was a great idea. I am really anxious to see you get these out, the first of your offerings that offers at least as much functional gain as aesthetic improvement.

Of course, until I get my car out of the shop it makes no difference.. I can go lay on the couch and support my head.

Yes, I'm getting very impatient to hear from Honda about the logo permission. I want these ready by the time my car shows up at the dealer.

I know I am a bit of a cynic, but I would not be at all surprised if you never get an answer but instead find that American Honda offers the product.

This is an organization with a less than sterling history, whose legal department is currently threatening any vendor that has a domain name or web page with the word Honda in it.

Since they often seem to have an adversarial relationship with retailers, customers, and even their own dealers, It is a believable possiblility.

The initial conversation our lawyer had with theirs was positive -- they said they like to encourage enthusiast groups like ours. But the thing has to go up the chain of command, and that's where the problem may be.

Rick: The easy answer would be to protect your invention with a patent. Then Honda would have to ask your permission to make it. I'm still in. I have faith the Logo issue will be resolved before my Stook arrives. Especially since my dealer is still telling me March/April.
