Sorry to jump in on your thread S2K@PR, but:

I have a question about headers too, I've heard that aftermarket headers on an S2000 don't add horsepower, but make VTEC engagement smoother. I don't understand this concept, how can the engagement be smoother? Thanks!

in the "worst mod" post, it seems that dc headers are just a waste of money.

Over time people have gotten repeatable results.

Spoon = 4-2-1 increase in topend hp
Mugen = 4-2-1 increase in midrange hp (therefore making VTEC engagement smoother)
Toda = 4-2-1 new supposedly good increase throughout (see Prolene's (NA) and skychicken's (Vortech SC) post in UTH)
DC = no increase just lighter
Comptech = 4-1 haven't seen anything beyond their own dyno's showing a slight increase in midrange and more up top (note their graphs are done with Comptech Intake)
HKS = 4-1 slight increase in peak hp

turbo_pwr - THANK YOU! I can finally understand, it's smoother because the HP jump isn't as severe, got it! Well now I know what I'm looking at in purchasing a header! Thanks guys.

They should put this in the library or something so that people can see this again later, or reference it. I know it was really helpful for me, and it seems to be for others too. Glad some GOOD information came up. Thanks again to turbo_Pwr!

4-2-1 headers usually give better mid-range

4-1 usually gives better top end hp
