Headlight Polishing - Before and After
When I switched in my clear headlights, I left a rag with "goo gone" on it on top of one of my headlight housings in the trunk for the 15 minutes it took me to get home.
By the time I got back, the housing had pits all over the plastic. I took some fine grit sandpaper to the light and then polished it with plexus and it was good as new.

Curious, as I may be so inclined to try that and remove the "pits" and then follow with 210+ and Polish. Good info, thanks.
REALLY fine grit. I don't remember the number off hand, but it's whatever I had around for doing paint work on the car (touch up stuff). It was the finest stuff I could find at some point, I believe.
It's a little disconcerting to take sandpaper to your headlights, but I had nothing to lose. I was really, really glad when I was able to polish them out.
